Parts of an Airplane
Wings and Fuselage
There are many important part of an airplane. The five basic components are: fuselage, wings, empennage (tail structures), power plant (propulsion system) and the undercarriage. The fuseloge is the main body structure of the airplane. The fuseloge has the cockpit, where the pilot controls the airplane. Also, it has a passenger or cargo compartment. In addition to this, the airplane has a slim fuselage to reduce drag. The wings are the most important part of the aircraft that is lift-producing. Wings are designed to have their tip higher than the part of the airplane that is attached to the airplane. This angle is called a dihedral angle. This angle keeps the airplane from not rolling around in circles when in the air. Finally, the wings carry the fuel of the airplane. The airplane has a winglet that decreases drag. Also, it has a horizontal stabilizer which controls the airplanes up and down motion. An airplane has a vertical stabilizer which controls the side to side motion. The flaps of an airplane increase lift, but dearest the speed of the airplane. The aileron controls the roll of the airplane. When landing the spoilers decrease the speed of the airplane.
